We're not going to lie, the thought of LFW approaching does fill us with a little dread.... a) it's that same old feeling of "we've got nothing to wear" and b) it's the impossible task of trying to match up all of our outfits for the week. Bear in mind it's hard enough styling up LFW outfits on your own, let alone making sure we stay true to our twinning style...yup that's right we need to collate a weeks worth of cool, yet comfy, yet warm outfits. We both attend the shows as part of our full time jobs to report, shoot and catch up on the new trends and whilst we like to look the part, as you know from our style, we don't like to look too OTT. Less is more ladies...

That said, when it comes to styling any outfit we always start at the very bottom, our pride and joy, our shoes! We would love to be the kind of gals to strut around the shows in sky high Louby's, but that's just really not us, we'll save those for a night out and stay true to our statement flats for fash week! With the running around from show to show, the constant hustle & bustle teamed with the fact that we are actually working all weekend, we've learnt (the hard way!) that flats are the safest, chicest and best option for LFW.

With only shoes on our mind and LFW looming we decided a shopping spree was in order and off to Bicester Village we went. For those of you that aren't familiar with Bicester it's a shopping haven for girls & guys that love a designer buy but at a fraction of the price. We even managed to drag our hubs along for the ride :) Remember our black and white pointy Miu Mius, they were one of our best bargains at Bicester...with that in mind, we knew we would find something (or somethingssss) there!

We started off early doors getting there for opening hours at 9AM to maximise our shopping hours and miss the queues. With it being only an hour-ish away from London via car or train from Marylebone, it's a real destination for the savvy shoopper that loves a designer bargain. Having been to a few outlets over the years, we have sometimes been disappointed with the range of brands, but Bicester's boutiques and pick of designers is just too good. Aside from the selection of shops, we love the overall experience there, (FYI you need to check out The Farmhouse for lunch - see below) it's super luxe and the best's all in one compact village.
Scroll below to see how we got on finding our must-have statement flats for fash week.
P.S can you believe the restraint...we only bought one pair!

Out fist stop had be Celine, and we're talking Celine at up to 70% off....The minute we walked in we spotted these amazing pointy loafers. Whilst we loved everything about them, the shape, the shine and the super luxe feel, we just couldn't justify another pair of black flats in our wardrobes. So it was on to the next shop...

As you can see the boys are not happy with our deliberating....

We were so tempted by these beaut Prada multistrap mary-janes... £145 down from £495!!!

After some serious shoe shopping it was time to refuel at The Farmhouse (Soho Farmhouses' restaurant at Bicester) and essentially a reason in itself to come to the village. We shared a selection of mini plates and the avo & eggs were one of the best we've ever tasted. P.S. there was also an epic oreo milkshake that was guzzled too fast to make it into the picture!

How cute are these colour pop loafers at Jimmy Choo?!

For those of you that haven't been to Bicester, Kurt Geiger is a hidden gem. It stocks brands like, Saint Laurent, Gianvito Rossi, Charlotte Olympia, Valentino, Isabel Marant and the price points are amazing. We fell madly in love with these bold Valentino beauties but sadly the sizes just weren't quite right...if only we could chop off a couple of toes...

Decisions, decisions....

Being Gucci loafer obsessives, we had a good feeling when we walked into Gucci. Then, we saw the shelves and yelped for joy! There were all different colours, shapes and sizes, we were in Heaven! After much deliberating, picture taking and stern looks from our hubs the leopard loafers stole our hearts and our decision was made. The animal print babies were coming home with us and we will be proudly rocking them at LFW. Don't forget to check our Instagram to see how we'll be wearing them over the weekend.
